Quick, practical project

Sometimes you just need something quick, practical, and don’t care what it looks like. I recently got hold of a second CFS for my Creality K2 printer. The CFS is a multi material system so I can preload up to four filaments per CFS. A second one brings this up to 8 filaments which means it can either let me do multicolour prints, automatically switch when a spool runs out, or more useful in my case it allows me to have various filaments ready and to choose which to use on a per print basis.

These things however aren’t that small, and can’t be stacked. Space is at a premium where I have my printers so I wanted something that means I can utilise the space more efficiently.

Nothing special, just some aluminium extrusion from previous projects, various connectors, and some plywood.

Well it works! I need to add some rubber feet on the bottom, but it lets me still get access to open the lid of the printer, and both CFS can open with no issues.
