Mostly thanks to the sales of Astropixels, we have decided it may be a good idea for We Make to become a limited company. So the trigger was finally pulled and as of 6th November 2025, we are now officially:
We Make Things Limited
Not something I was expecting to do any time soon, but whilst the actual profits from the Astropixels is kept low on purpose, as they’re done to support the Droid Builders clubs around the world, the actual turnover is quite high.
So now that this is done, where do we want to take things?
The whole point of starting We Make was to have a bit of fun and maybe have something that we can semi retire to do as a more fun way to earn a living. This hasn’t changed, if anything we may end up doubling down.
Of course we both still have day jobs, but I do want to try to introduce some more products. Some of these may be more low profit items for the builders clubs (chopper lights!), but also some other none droid related projects. I’ve been spending a lot of time getting the workshop to a stage where I actually have enough room to make things and I have a few ideas for some woodworking projects. I’ve also got some ideas for open source electronics projects which I can also sell pre made electronics.
For now, nothing much will change….
