I recently employed a talented artist (my lovely niece) to create a new logo for us. The previous one was something that I knocked up on a free logo website a number of years ago. I figured it was high time to get something created properly.
Whilst I’m not anti-AI, I do believe that it has a place, and creating art is definitely not one of them. So its good to get something created like this to show off the different sides of our company.
And of course I had to get some business cards done, especially as Joy has a table at a craft fair this weekend. We were lacking one thing however, and that was a display stand for the cards. But that is what I have all my tools for and (one of) the reason I hate to throw scrap wood out.
10 minutes hunting around in the scrap pile, and a couple more minutes with the mitre saw and I had a lovely simple wooden stand to display some cards in. It is a really good feeling to be able to quickly knock something like this up in a short time, with things you already have.
